For the past 25 years, our founder, Dan Goodman has been helping salespeople check their commissions, and identify and recover hundreds of thousands of dollars in earned but unpaid commissions and bonuses from their employer. He spent thousands of hours working in spreadsheets, analyzing each line item of every deal. It was a manual and tedious process, exacerbated by the complexity of these salespeople's compensation plans.
He was shocked by the volume and frequency of commission errors. He quickly realized this problem was significant throughout sales across all industries, and he knew the manual time-consuming process could only go so far. If only it could be automated, he could share his passion for commission transparency and fairness to help all salespeople.
With the help of his brilliant co-founder, Anthony Topper, Dan built TruCommish, the first application that helps salespeople find commission errors. Each of the platform's early customers was able to recover thousands in unpaid commissions, and the message of transparency and fairness became a major theme amongst sales communities. The service continues to revolutionize the sales compensation process and drive better results by improving morale and productivity.
